Heat Culture
The Miami Heat picked up a nice win last night against the Hawks (without Jimmy Butler).
Look for them to continue rolling…
Three Reasons Why They Will Likely Win Their Next Three Games:
1) They’re playing the Hawks again tomorrow. At home. Likely with Jimmy Buckets back.
2) The Heat’s next game is at New Orleans.
The Pels have likely discovered something with “Point Zion”.
Zion played point in high school and then shot up in height (and weight, and… build).
But he still wants to play, and can handle the ball, like a point guard. Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer had a nice YouTube breakdown of this here.
If only the Pels had surrounded Zion with shooting. Imagine, for example, if they had Christian Wood playing next to Zion.
Wait, sorry, I’m getting something in my earpiece…
Oh, they had Christian Wood? And they cut him? Cut him for who?
So they could keep Jahlil Okafor?
Wow.
Anyway, as far as the Heat are concerned, the Pels have the same issue as the Hawks.
They’re a young team who struggles with defense.
And the Heat, as I’ve highlighted on YouTube, exploit inexperienced and unfocused defenses.
3) After the Pels game the Heat are off for a week (All-Star Break).
They can get fully healthy (looks like Butler is dealing with a knee issue. At least, that is what kept him out of the game last night), and then start the back half of the season with a home game against… the Hawks.
Callback
Quick callback to my post and podcast from yesterday…
Remember how I mentioned that Nerlens Noel is (criminally) underrated, that he provides efficient play but almost always goes unnoticed because he doesn’t put up big scoring numbers?
Noel’s line from last night:
4 of 5 from the field, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 steals, and 2 assists (with 2 turnovers).
He only scored eight points (hence the lack of publicity) but Noel does so much to positively impact winning.
With Julius Randle and D. Rose, and a three game win streak, I’m sure the Garden Faithful are happy.
They shouldn’t forget to thank Noel.
Christmas in March, as it were.
Have a great day out there in the sim…

Just to give my two cents is that you should consider charging people soon if that is what you want to do. Depending on how much you want I would be still be down. I play my own picks but your stuff is a very good read.
I'm afraid besides signing up some other email accounts I won't be much for referring people. I'm a former salesman and I understand the pang. It's just due to this being gambling and the idiocracy of the internet I want my profile to be anonymous. Just taking a break from another online community and pretty sure one of the guys from that group is in the reddit. Also since it's gambling the only person I know that is into gambling (without a gambling addiction) is not interested in nba.
Also my experiences in reddit also tell me people are more interested in a support group for bad betting than they are in beating vegas or winning. It's part of the online idiocracy this type of hobby attracts. People are always going to take your picks but at the same time they won't help you cause of this jealousy and rage the world has against successful and knowledgeable people. It's why the internet is full of conspiracies against famous people, doctors and science.
People just want simple shit. Charge people like 5 bucks a month for material and a free pick once a week. Charge them like a 100 a day for your lock picks. People want that. They just want an easy option that requires no thinking. Plus someone betting 1k+10k is going to expect a charge. People get real suspicious of free stuff. You charging that amount sends a message that you are confident you deserve that amount for your knowledge. It's a good thing.
Post in reddit and other places your winning picks after the game. The people who want a service will come. In fact you won't even have to post in reddit. Once you win people money they will do it for you. In fact they will get you the clients that want to play big and win. Again if that is what you want.
line moved again to CLE +2.5, whats going on do u think?
