Killin' is Easy
"The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles..."
This Day in History
In 1848 Marx and Engels published the Communist Manifesto, a revolutionary work that investigated the class struggle…
Bro, really? Are your for real about this Communist shit?
Well, yeah… I was gonna write about how there is a direct line from lord and serf to boss and employee… About how all of us, from minimum wage workers at Burger King to NBA millionaires, are exploited by the ruling class to generate and sustain their wealth…
I’m seriously unsubscribing…
Ok, fine. Moving on… Comrade.
Bro, I will fuck you up…
What I’m Watching
The documentary Killing is Easy about the legendary comedian’s comedian Patrice O’Neal.
Clip here… (“I thought I would have a white slave by now…”).
Bill Burr, who came up with Patrice in the comedy clubs of Boston and New York, called him "the most purely funny human being I've ever met."
In Patrice’s later years (he died in 2011, at the age of 41, from complications related to diabetes) he was a community philosopher, focused, in all aspects (and, often, to the detriment of his career), on being radically, brutally honest.
The first three-quarters of the documentary is good, as Patrice builds his rep and hones his takes on the twin comedic staples of race and relationships.
And then the final twenty minutes of the doc are devastating.
Highly recommended.
Also, real talk, one reason the newsletter is relatively late today is because I spent the past ninety minutes doing a deep-dive into clips of Patrice on YouTube.
That’s all for today. Stay safe… Comrades :-)

Love the Knicks pick. A little worried about Philly but I hope I'm wrong. Toronto seems to learn from their opponents pretty well and their last matchup against Philly was close. Expecting a knife fight. Thanks as always!
why do u think the past week has been such a shitshow in terms of betting, not only for your down week, I've been getting hammered recently on props and other side bets in the NBA
